Every woman at some point in her life will experience menopause in one way or another. Some women sail through it without any symptoms, others can find their whole lives being affected. Often feeling helpless and not quite knowing what’s going on or even more importantly, what to do about it.

The official menopause definition is when a woman has not had a period for 12 months. However, she can experience symptoms prior to this some years earlier. A woman’s body starts to alter the amount of reproductive hormones oestrogen and progesterone typically in her 40s, but will still have periods.

WHAT ARE THE SYMPTOMS OF PERI MENOPAUSE AND MENOPAUSE?
Some women experience this earlier or through medical procedures such as chemotherapy. These symptoms are called Peri menopause and some of the symptoms of peri menopause are:

Insomnia, Night sweats, Mood swings, Uncontrollable emotions,  Heart palpitations, Irregular periods, Forgetfulness, Anxiety, Depression, Hair loss, Unexplained weight gain, Water retention to name but a few. There are officially 39 peri menopausal symptoms.
